My great great-grandfather, William Harrison Monroe, was born in 1814 and died in 1885. Several family historians have hit the proverbial brick wall with this man. We cannot determine any of his descendants on the Monroe side.
He is buried at the Darnell Family Cemetery on the Anderson-Mercer-Washington County line. He was married to Barsheba Bowman.
